In particular, protein-reduced diets for piglets and growing pigs based on high grain contents that are optimized for an ecologically desirable low nitrogen excretion show a considerable deficiency in threonine. This deficiency can perfectly be countered by using L-Threonine Feed Grade. Processing L-Threonine Feed Grade can be processed into premixes, mineral feeds, and compound feeds, also in milk replacer, by any technical procedure. Its technical properties guarantee for homogeneous mixability and stability against demixing. Storage, stability and packaging L-Threonine Feed Grade should be kept cool and dry in well-closed original packaging. Under these conditions, its active content is guaranteed for 5 years from the manufacturing date. (The manufacturing date forms part of the lot number included with the package labelling information.) Regulatory affairs L-Threonine Feed Grade is approved for use in all animal species according to european feed law and labeled accordingly. L-Threonine Feed Grade is not subject to dangerous goods regulations Safety and environment L-Threonine Feed Grade can be handled safely. According to EU chemicals legislation, it is non-toxic, and, if correctly handled, it does not irritate the skin and mucous membranes. Skin sensitization has never been reported, and is unlikely to occur. Accordingly, it is not classified as a hazardous chemical. The usual regulations for safety and hygiene involving handling chemicals should be followed. |
